CROSS PLAINS, Wis. — The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the passenger who died in a crash in Cross Plains over the weekend.
The incident happened Saturday on Old Military Road near Coyle Lane and was reported to authorities at about 8:20 p.m. Authorities said the driver of an SUV lost control and went off the road, which resulted in a rollover crash.
Officials said Rylee Hetzner , 22, of Madison, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and one other passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The medical examiner’s office completed a forensic examination Monday, with preliminary results confirming Hetzner died of injuries he suffered in the crash.
Further testing is underway, and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing to investigate.
