MADISON, Wis. — The number of Wisconsinites who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 approaches 2.4 million, according to the latest data from the state Department of Health Services.
DHS officials said 2,735,672 people have gotten at least one dose of vaccine, which is 47% of the state’s population. Health officials said 2,391,907 residents have completed the vaccine series, or 41.1% of Wisconsin.
A total of 5,067,919 doses have been administered throughout the state, including 8,467 in the past day.

Wisconsin reported 376 new cases of the virus, which is above Monday’s case count and the seven-day rolling average of 314. The state has reached an all-time total of 608,959 confirmed cases, with fewer than 5,800 cases still active.
As of Tuesday, the seven-day average percent positive by test has remained at 2.5%.
Eight more people have died of coronavirus complications, which puts the statewide death toll at 6,998. DHS officials said another 75 people were hospitalized in the past day, which more than triples Monday’s hospitalizations.
