MADISON, Wis. — A Stoughton man was charged Wednesday with committing two bank robberies earlier this year.
According to a news release, Todd Templeton, 51, robbed the Associated Bank on King Street in Stoughton on Feb. 24 and the Associated Bank on Cottage Grove Road in Madison on March 3.
The release said Templeton faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison on each count if convicted.
Templeton was found in Tennessee on March 12.
Officials said the charges against him are the result of an investigation by Stoughton and Madison police, as well as the FBI.
