MADISON, Wis. — Over 5.1 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered across Wisconsin, according to the state Department of Health Services.
A total of 5,111,247 doses have been administered throughout the state since December, including 15,090 in the past day.
DHS officials said 47.4% have received at least one vaccine dose, which is 2,758,291 of the state’s population. As of Thursday, 41.5% have completed the vaccine series, or 2,416,757 of Wisconsin.

The seven-day average percent positive by test has remained at 2.3%, according to DHS data.
In an effort to “smooth out” fluctuations in COVID data, the DHS updated its COVID summary page Thursday to focus on seven-day averages for cases and deaths.

The seven-day rolling average of new cases per day dropped to 285. As of Thursday, health officials have also identified 3,515 cases of COVID variants.
DHS officials said 7,040 deaths have been confirmed since the start of the pandemic, and the seven-day average of new deaths per day is at 2.
