EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WKBT) — The Eau Clare Police Department is looking for a driver who barely missed hitting pedestrians in the parking lot before spinning around and skidding to a stop.
The incident happened at about 11:50 p.m. Saturday. Video shows three pedestrians walking in the crosswalk across Brackett Avenue before a silver or gray Grand Prix speeds into the frame.
Two of the walkers run forward and the third jumps backwards, making space for the car. Witnesses believe the vehicle was going at least 70 miles per hour and did not get a license plate number.
ECPD is asking anyone with information about this vehicle or the driver to contact the communication center’s non-emergency number at 715-839-4972 or Eau Claire County Crime Stoppers at 715-874-8477.
