BARABOO, Wis. — One person died Saturday night after a truck crashed on State Highway 136 in Baraboo.
According to a news release, officials responded around 9:30 p.m. after a caller reported a Toyota pickup truck had rolled over.
The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office said the truck wasn’t able to stay on the road near Raven Acres Drive and began driving on the gravel shoulder. It then overcorrected, went across both lanes, and struck a guard rail, which forced it to flip and come to rest on its hood and roof.
The release said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected.
The Sauk County Coroner’s Office said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, but their name is being withheld right now.
