MADISON, Wis. — The average number of new COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin has stayed under 200 since the beginning of the month, according to the state Department of Health Services.
The rolling average of new COVID cases per day saw another decrease to 134, an average which has not surpassed the 200 mark since May 31. The state’s all-time total of confirmed cases has reached 611,274 as of Wednesday.
Health officials said the 7-day average percent positive by test has fallen to 1.2%, an average which has not topped 2% in over a week.
According to DHS data, the 7-day average of confirmed COVID deaths per day has remained at 3. The statewide death toll has amassed 7,189.
DHS officials said 2,835,578 residents have received at least one dose of vaccine, or 48.7% of Wisconsin. As of Wednesday, 2,524,604 people have been fully vaccinated, which is 43.4% of the state’s eligible population.
A total of 5,291,294 doses have been administered throughout the state, including 10,607 in the past day.
