MADISON, Wis. — Madison police say a man arrested early Friday morning for an attempted armed robbery in Janesville also faces charges for a stabbing in Madison last month.
30-year-old Trevor Richards of Janesville was arrested Friday after trying to rob a BP gas station in Janesville before getting into a car that was later seen in Beloit. Police chased that car until it crashed, and they arrested Richards.
While he’s being investigated for other crimes in the Janesville area, Madison police say he will also be facing an attempted homicide charge there for a May 30 stabbing on Badger Road in Madison that injured another 30-year-old man.
Richards is currently being held in the Rock County Jail.
