MADISON, Wis. — A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 3:30 p.m. for areas northwest of Madison.
The warning from the National Weather Service is being issued for Columbia, Dane and Sauk Countines.
A severe thunderstorm was detected in the area near Prairie du Sac. The National Weather Service says the main threat for the storm is hail.
