BELOIT, Wis. — Beloit police have arrested two men and identified a third believed to be involved in the killing of a 25-year-old Beloit man.
Police said in a Facebook post that they arrested 18-year-old Elontae M. Phiffer and 19-year-old Damon E. Allen shortly before 3 a.m. Friday. Both are charged with first-degree intentional homicide, party to a crime.
Authorities said they’ve issued a warrant for a third suspect, 19-year-old Journee R. Weathers Jr. Weathers is wanted for first-degree intentional homicide.
According to a criminal complaint, Weathers shot the victim following a dispute over a car payment. A witness identified Weathers as the shooter, according to Beloit police.
