ROCKTON, Ill. — Rockton officials are providing an update on a massive chemical fire at Chemtool, which has been burning since 7 a.m. and led to evacuations around the plant.
Burning debris has been reported around the village and has led to some smaller fires in the area. Earlier in the day, the Rockton Fire Department said one firefighter had suffered minor injuries trying to control the fire. The company says all workers who were at the facility at the time were accounted for and safe.
