BROOKLYN — For the second time in three years, the Bucks are one step away from a trip the NBA Finals.
After losing its first two games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals to the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee worked its way to a Game 7, where Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks outlasted the Nets.
The Bucks caught a few breaks during the series, including Nets stars James Harden (Game 1) and Kyrie Irving (Game 3) missing time with injury, or not being 100%. But the Nets still had former MVP Kevin Durant, who went for more than 40 points on Saturday.
But the Bucks had Giannis, who went toe-to-toe with Durant.
Milwaukee will face either Philadelphia or Atlanta in the Eastern Conference Finals, which will begin on Wednesday. If Atlanta wins Game 7 on Sunday night, the Bucks will have home-court advantage. If the 76ers win on Sunday, No. 1 seed Philadelphia will host Game 1.
The Phoenix Suns and L.A. Clippers are still alive in the Western Conference.
