MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin’s seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate has remained under 1% for nearly one week, according to the state Department of Health Services.
As of Tuesday, DHS officials said the seven-day average percent positive by test saw a minor decrease to o.7%. 
Gov. Tony Evers and the DHS announced the state will provide Wisconsin schools with free COVID testing for the upcoming academic year.
The seven-day average of new COVID cases per day also went down slightly to 69. The state has reached an all-time total of 612,233 confirmed cases.
At least 7,253 people have died since the start of the pandemic. The DHS said the seven-day average of confirmed COVID deaths per day has stayed at one.
Health officials said 2,892,108 people have received at least one dose of vaccine, which is 49.7% of the state’s eligible population. DHS officials said 2,643,637 residents have completed the vaccine series, or 45.4% of Wisconsin.
As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the DHS website did not include the latest data for the number of vaccine doses administered in Wisconsin.
