MADISON, Wis. — Four people were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning following a crash on Madison’s east side.
The crash happened at the intersection of Cottage Grove Rd. and North Star Dr. around 7:45 a.m., according to a release by the Madison Police Department.
Police said a vehicle ran a red light and t-boned another vehicle that was turning onto Cottage Grove Rd. This is near Metro Market and the Great Dane Pub and Brewing Company’s eastside location.
Two people have serious or life-threatening injuries, the release said.
Police said the driver that ran the red light made initial comments about checking his phone. The investigation remains open at this time.
