JANESVILLE, Wis. — An argument between family members in Janesville “quickly escalated” into a shooting Thursday, according to an incident report.
Janesville police responded to a report of someone who was shot on the 500 block of Milton Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. Officials arrived and found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
The victim was later taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The report said Henry Tyler, 65, was taken into custody and brought to the Rock County Jail on one charge of reckless injury/domestic violence (felony).
Police said the incident was isolated and stemmed from a “verbal disturbance between family members.” Everyone involved in the shooting has been identified and are said to be cooperating with authorities.
Officials said there is no threat to the public, and an investigation into the shooting remains under investigation.
