MADISON, Wis. — Over 60% of Wisconsinites ages 18 and older have gotten at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state Department of Health Services.
The DHS added the new data to its website’s vaccine page Friday. Health officials said 60.9%, or more than 2.7 million adults have received at least one dose, while 56.3% have been fully vaccinated.
When including the rest of the population, health officials said 2,905,832 people have gotten at least one dose of vaccine, which is nearly half of the state’s eligible population. DHS officials said 2,772,501 people have completed the vaccine series, or 45.8% of Wisconsin.
According to DHS data, a total of 5,501,512 shots have gone into arms since December.

The state’s seven-day COVID positivity rate has remained below 1% for more than one week, with Friday’s average sitting at 0.8%.
The rolling average of new COVID cases per day went down slightly to 71, and the state has reached an all-time total of 612,506 confirmed cases. As of Friday afternoon, more than 4,400 cases of COVID variants have been identified in Wisconsin.
The statewide death toll has reached 7,280, with the seven-day average of confirmed COVID deaths per day remaining at one.
