MADISON, Wis. — A 30-year-old man was killed Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Madison’s east side.
According to an incident report, the person was hit in the the road by a car driving in the 800 block of East Washington Avenue around 1:20 a.m.
The report said the car that hit the person was a likely a maroon/burgundy Chevy Impala, model 2006 or later, and likely will have significant damage to its front.
After hitting the person, police said the car drove off from the area and did not stop to help.
Traffic was closed in the East Washington Avenue at North Paterson Street area for several hours Saturday morning.
