MADISON, Wis. — More than half of Wisconsinites have gotten at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the state Department of Health Services.
The DHS said 2,915,969 have received at least one shot, which is 50.1% of the state’s eligible population. Health officials said 2,716,790 people have completed the vaccine series, or 46.7% of Wisconsin.
The state’s first shots went into arms in December. Since then, a total of 5,562,607 doses have been administered throughout Wisconsin.

The seven-day average of confirmed COVID deaths dropped to zero over the weekend. Although the statewide death toll has amassed 7,289, health officials have not recorded any new COVID deaths since Thursday.

The rolling average of new COVID cases per day has remained roughly the same at 72, with the state’s all-time total reaching 612,632 confirmed cases.
The seven-day average percent positive by test has also stayed below 1%, with Monday’s average sitting at 0.8%.
