MADISON, Wis. A teenager is on the run after trying to steal a vehicle late Wednesday night.
According to a release from the Madison Police Department, it happened near Pleasant View Golf Course on the 8900 block of Timber Wolf Trail around 11:30 p.m.
The victim told police the teenager flagged down their vehicle and asked for a ride.
When the victim allowed the person into the vehicle, he threatened the driver with a knife and grabbed the steering wheel.
This caused the victim to drive the vehicle into a tree.
The suspect ran away before police could arrive.
The victim was uninjured.
The investigation is ongoing.
