MANITOWOC, Wis. — A group of volunteers helped animals at a humane society in eastern Wisconsin feel calm during fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Thirty-one volunteers spent Sunday night at the Lakeshore Humane Society in Manitowoc to ensure the animals felt safe.
“What an amazing community we live in!” the humane society wrote in a Facebook post Monday. “Fireworks can be terrifying for animals and these folks help to make them all feel safe.”
