MADISON, Wis. — A tornado watch is being issued for parts of southern Wisconsin, including Dane County.
The watch is in effect until midnight as the severe weather threat for the night continues.
Stay prepared for severe weather through the night, including making sure you are near a weather radio or can get weather alerts on your phone with the First Warn Weather app.
Also make sure to plan ahead by making sure any loose items outside your home are put away or tied down and that your cell phone and other devices are charged in case the power goes out.

News 3 Now’s First Warn Weather team may also break into programming with updates as needed until the severe weather threat subsides.
