MIDDLETON, Wis. A Madison man is facing his 5th OWI charge for allegedly driving under the influence early Friday morning.
According to the Middleton Police Department, Clayton Carlsen, 68, of Madison, was seen driving in and out of lanes around 1 a.m. near Branch Street and Franklin Avenue around in Middleton.
When police pulled him over, officers smelled strong odor of alcohol coming from Carlsen’s breath. Officers also reported Carlsen’s speech was slurred.
After admitting to drinking, Carlsen failed a field sobriety test.
Carlsen is in the Dane County Jail facing charges for his 5th OWI offense which is a felony in the state of Wisconsin.
