JANESVILLE, Wis. — Medical examiners in Rock County are identifying the woman killed in a crash earlier this week as 49-year-old Sandra B. Reyna of Beloit.
Reyna was driving on Highway J in La Prairie Township outside of Janesville at about 4 p.m. on Wednesday when her GMC Acadia went into the ditch, hit a mailbox and drove through a cornfield before hitting a tree.
Reyna was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed she died of her injuries in the crash.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Department said earlier this week that speed and alcohol were believed to be factors in the crash.
