MADISON, Wi. — One person is dead after a car crash late Friday night.
At around 9:45 p.m., UW-Madison Police Officers were called to Lake Mendota Drive for reports of a serious crash.
A single vehicle was involved, and officers found it off the road, on its roof. According to a report, the car seemed to have flipped multiple times. Officers say the driver was headed east when they lost control at a curve in the road.
One passenger was ejected in the crash and did not survive.
The driver and three other passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment and released.
The incident remains under investigation by the UW-Madison Police Department.
