The news comes on the tail end of a tumultuous off-season filled with rumors that Rodgers wanted to leave the team.
On Monday, NFL.com reporter Ian Rapoport tweeted that Rodgers has told people close to him he plans to return to play this season.
Later that day, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Packers management, who Rodgers had expressed frustration with during the off season, are willing to make a number of concessions to Rodgers to convince him to return.
