WAUPUN, Wis. — Tuesday marked a milestone for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, as the first class in a department-sponsored program to offer inmates a chance to earn a college degree received their diplomas.
A total of 20 inmates at Waupun Correctional Institution made up the inaugural class, earning bachelor’s degrees in liberal arts.
