Iowa County Fatal Crash

The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office says one person is dead after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 18 in the Town of Linden Wednesday. The crash happened at about 10:40am near Sinbad Road, east of Edmund. The Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Jesse Monigold of Dodgeville crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle driven by 60-year-old Warren Kasbom of Montfort. Monigold was pronounced dead at the scene. Kasbohm and his 15-year-old passenger were hurt. Kasbohm was Medflighted to a hospital in Madison, while the teen was taken to Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville. Highway 18 was closed for several hours Wednesday while authorities investigated.
