MADISON, Wis. — FIVE Nightclub in Madison is becoming one of the first in the city to require proof of vaccination from COVID-19 to get in the door.
The club posted on social media earlier this week that the requirements will go into effect this Thursday, August 5, and apply for anyone trying to get in from 8 p.m. to close every Thursday through Sunday night.
FIVE Nightclub says the proof of vaccination can either be the physical vaccination card or a picture of it on a phone or other electronic proof.
“Some people may not agree with policy, but FIVE Nightclub is doing what it can to help keep our customers, performers and staff safe. In response to that we say: If you aren’t vaccinated yet—that is on you,” the post said.
The policy does not apply for the club’s volleyball league or on Mondays through Wednesdays, due to outdoor activities or lower attendance inside the club.
