MADISON, Wis. — Madison police say they’re investigating a death after finding the body of a person on the city’s west side.
Officers found an abandoned vehicle in the area near Dearholt Road and Fairway Drive near Odana Hills Park Tuesday morning that matched the description of a vehicle driven by a missing person from Oak Creek.
Police used a K9 and a drone to search for signs of the missing person before finding the body in an area near the car. Police say they have not found anything suspicious about the death at this time.
Identification of the body is still pending the results of an autopsy, but Oak Creek police have been contacted and are now taking the lead on the investigation.
