MADISON, Wis. — Someone found $10,000 in a fanny pack while walking on Madison’s east side in mid-July, Madison police said.
According to an incident report, the person found the fanny pack near the intersection of Winnebago Street and Bashford Avenue around 7 p.m. on July 18. It contained $10,000 in cash, a phone, and a person’s ID card.
Police said they documented the found property and put it into safekeeping until the owner could be located.
