MADISON, Wis. — A Madison woman’s home was struck by gunfire while she was sleeping early Thursday morning.
Police said they responded to the 3000 block of Churchill Drive around 5:15 a.m. after a woman called to report that her house had been hit by gunfire.
Officers recovered multiple shell casings at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
A residence just a few blocks away, which was occupied by five children at the time, was also struck by gunfire overnight.
