ELBA, Wis. — Two people were airlifted to a Madison hospital on Friday following a two-vehicle crash in Dodge County that left five people injured.
Lt. Jerrod Fox with the Columbus Fire Department said crews were dispatched to State Trunk Highway 16 and County Road TT shortly after 4:45 for a report of a crash. The intersection is about 3 miles east of Columbus, Wisconsin.
Five people were injured. Two were airlifted by UW MedFlight to UW Hospital, and one other was transported via ambulance. Four ambulances were sent to the scene.
Crews with the Columbus, Watertown, Waterloo and Beaver Dam fire departments responded to the scene.
Fox said drivers traveling in the area should expect major delays.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is expected to share updates at a later time.
