MONROE, Wis. — Police arrested a man Saturday night for allegedly stalking a 13-year-old girl over the course of multiple weeks.
Authorities said the man, 38-year-old Chad Osbaugh, is a registered sex offender.
Police were called to the 1700 block of 16th Street around 9 p.m. Saturday after the girl reported seeing a suspicious man in a vehicle over the last few weeks. She told police Osbaugh had tried talking to her at least once before.
When he allegedly stopped by her on the street again, she ran to a neighbor’s house, who called police.
Authorities later stopped a vehicle in the 2000 block of 16th Street because it matched the witnesses’ description.
Osbaugh was then taken into custody and was initially charged with felony stalking. He was also taken into custody for a probation violation.
