JANESVILLE, Wis. — Janesville police say SWAT teams were used to conduct a search warrant on a home Tuesday afternoon as part of a sexual assault investigation.
The Janesville Police Department says a search warrant was conducted by its SWAT team with help from the Beloit Police Department SWAT team on a home on W. Wall Street at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say they believed the suspect may have been armed at the time of the assault. Nobody was inside the home while it was searched. Police say the search warrant was conducted without incident.
Police did not release any more information about the alleged assault or possible suspect, saying it was still early in the investigation. More information may be released at a later time.
