MADISON, Wis. Madison police are investigating a report of gunfire early Tuesday morning near State Street.
According to the Madison Police Department, they responded to reports of shots fired around 2 a.m. near the intersection of West Gilman Street and State Street.
No injuries were reported.
Soon after the incident, police stopped a vehicle near the intersection. Police said the people inside the vehicle were in the area of the shots fired at the time of the initial report. However, no one in the vehicle was arrested.
Police are still looking for a suspect.
