MONONA, Wis. — Monona Police are investigating after several Black Lives Matter yard signs were vandalized along S. Winnequah Rd.
MPD says the signs were covered with black spray paint to cover up the message of the signs.
“These acts of vandalism will not be tolerated by this community,” Monona Police Chief Chaney Austin said in a Facebook post on Thursday. “Those who committed these offenses will be held responsible.”
Monona police are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact Monona Area Crime Stoppers or the city’s Anonymous Crime Tips website.
