MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating after a suspect stole a purse from a shopper of a westside store and then left the area in a stolen vehicle.
The incident happened around 12:25 p.m. Sunday at a store along the 6500 block of McKee Road, according to release from the Madison Police Department.
The victim turned away from their cart when someone took their purse, the release said. The suspect then drove away from the area in a stolen black Volkswagen.
