JANESVILLE, Wis. — UW-Whitewater is hoping to help students and community members capitalize on the extension of the $100 COVID vaccine gift card benefit.
The university held a vaccine clinic on its Rock County campus in Janesville on Tuesday.
The clinic was open to the public and offered the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine as well as the Pfizer vaccine.
There was also an extra incentive for UW-Whitewater students.
“Students are actually eligible if they participate and able to send their records to the UW-Whitewater COVID hotline, they’re eligible for a weekly drawing of $500 and potentially a $7,000 scholarship,” Assistant Dean Kristin Fillhower said.
The vaccine clinic will also continue on Wednesday, and another round of clinics will be held in a month for second doses.
