PLATTEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Wis. — A driver hit and killed a cow that was lying in the middle of a Grant County road on Saturday.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, a Platteville man was driving east on Mitchell Hollow Road around 5:30 a.m. when he hit a Holstein cow lying in the middle of the road.
The cow was later found dead in a ditch on the north side of the road.
The driver was uninjured, and his truck sustained moderate damage in the crash.
Authorities said they’re investigating the crash.
