MADISON, Wis. — Testing across the U.S. continued to be in high demand, with pharmacies and stores quickly running out of at-home tests when shipments arrived.
Even if you had mild symptoms, like a headache or stuffy nose, UW Health’s Dr. Jeff Pothof said the best thing you can do is isolate yourself as if you tested positive.
“If we were all to come down with COVID-19 and just go out and infect other people, what that would result in is just a rate of hospitalization that would be impossible for healthcare systems to keep up with,” Pothof said.
Dr. Pothof also said to not go to the emergency room unless you are having difficulty breathing.
