MADISON, Wis. — There’s going to be a lot of new faces on Wisconsin football next season, but one area of the team that will see significant change is at inside linebacker.
For the last few seasons, Leo Chenal and Jack Sanborn have the heart and soul of Wisconsin’s defense. In 2021, the duo combined for 206 total tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.
With both declaring for the NFL Draft, younger guys are getting ready to take over at inside linebacker and they’re eager to do it after watching and learning from Chenal and Sanborn.
