BELOIT, Wis. — Court officials in Ottawa County, Michigan say the 19-year-old charged in connection with a deadly January shooting outside of a Beloit high school has waived his right to an extradition hearing.
Kara Bostrom-Young, chief clerk in Michigan’s 58th District Court, confirmed with News 3 Now on Friday that Amaree Goodall — who was arrested in Holland, Michigan earlier this week — has since waived his right to fight his extradition to Wisconsin.

Bostrom-Young said that once the paperwork is approved and filed by a judge, staff at the Ottawa County Jail will be informed, clearing the way for Wisconsin law enforcement to travel to Michigan and take Goodall into custody.
Officials with the City of Beloit and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office said around 11 a.m. Friday they had not yet received the paperwork regarding Goodall’s extradition.
Goodall is charged with one count of first-degree reckless homicide tied to the fatal shooting outside of Beloit Memorial High School on Jan. 29. Nineteen-year-old Jion Broomfield died of gunshot wounds at a Beloit hospital shortly after the incident.
