MOUNT HOREB, Wis. — A fire caused at least $450,000 in damage to a building near Mount Horeb Thursday evening.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office said the fire broke out around 4:55 p.m. in the 3100 block of K & R Road. The building, which the sheriff’s office said was used as storage for a small business and as a home, was deemed a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the blaze but do not believe it was suspicious.
County Highway S was closed in the area while crews respond.
