MADISON, Wis. — The Midwest Horse Fair opened to visitors on Friday for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The fair, the county’s largest three-day horse fair, includes 300 clinics, seminars and educational events presented by some of the top horse professionals.
“When we started, we were about two or three clinicians and about 30 vendors, and so we’ve grown to over 500 and well over 40 presenters, entertainers and about 60,000 people and do $11 million in economic impact in the Madison area,” Megan Hanuszczak, the fair’s executive director, said.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the Beltline near the Park Street, Rimrock Road and John Nolen Drive exits during the fair due to expected traffic.
