JANESVILLE, Wis. — One person is dead following a shooting at a business on Janesville’s north side Tuesday afternoon.
A Rock County dispatcher said a call came in of a person with a gunshot wound at Precision Drawn Metals in the 1300 block of Plainfield Avenue just after 4:30 p.m. The victim was taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.
No one else was shot, police said.
Officers arrested the suspect in the area of Highways 11 and 213 outside the city of Janesville, police said.
While there is no ongoing threat, police are asking people to continue to avoid the area.
