MADISON, Wis. — Madison police arrested a man Monday night after he allegedly threatened someone with a “very large” sword.
Officers were called to the wooded area near the Amazon Distribution Center on Milwaukee Street just after 9 p.m. A 48-year-old man was reportedly looking for someone at a nearby encampment.
Police said the man threatened to hurt the person he was looking for with the sword. The man was arrested without incident and the weapon was confiscated. He faces charges of disorderly conduct while armed and bail jumping.
News 3 Now is not naming the man at this time as part of a policy not to name people accused of crimes until they have been formally charged in court. Click here to learn more about the policy.
