HARTFORD, Wis. — A woman was killed and a man was hurt Sunday in a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck in Dodge County.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 3:45 p.m. along Highway 60 just west of Hartford near Resthaven Road. Investigators believe a 26-year-old man driving a motorcycle was headed west on the highway when he pulled a U-turn to pick up a dropped item.
A Dodge Ram pickup truck headed east crashed with the motorcycle, pushing the bike onto its side. A 27-year-old woman riding on the back of the motorcycle was hurt and taken to Hartford Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The man driving the motorcycle had minor injuries. The pickup truck driver and other people in his vehicle were not hurt.
The DCSO did not identify the people involved, nor did a press release say if anyone was cited. The crash remains under investigation.
