MADISON, Wis. — A woman was struck by a vehicle and injured Monday while walking across Cottage Grove Road, Madison police said.
The woman was crossing the intersection at Acewood Blvd. at around 12:50 p.m. when she was struck. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Police said that the driver cooperated with officers, and intoxication and speed are not believed to have contributed to the crash. Police said that initial digital evidence shows the driver may have had a green light at the time of the crash.
An investigation is ongoing, and no citations have been issued.
