MADISON, Wis. — Staff members at iCare and parent company Humana rolled up their sleeves Thursday to help those in need in honor of Hunger Action Month.
Volunteers helped assemble boxes for items like eggs, butter and yogurt for Second Harvest Foodbank.
“We know that food and nutrition and security is one of the key factors to help impact health, stability, so we’re here to support Second Harvest on fulfilling its mission to address food insecurity,” Margaret Kristan, the vice president of long-term care at iCare, said.
In the coming days, those items will then go to hundreds of families across the area.
