Bus drivers say, as they are making stops for students, drivers are driving past and ignoring the bus signs. The Wisconsin’s school bus Assocation recently took part the National Illegal Passing School bus survey, finding the average rate of illegal passes is at 40% in Wisconsin, growing this year by 19% from years past. As a reminder, drivers should stop 20 feet away from buses when their lights are on with stop signs out, regardless of which direction you’re heading.
